Bone Setting

Ligament, Tendon and Muscle Setting

... a tradition of more than 2000 years,

Bone setting is one of the five traditional branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and is considered to be the basis for the development of modern chiropractic and osteopathy. Traditional Chinese medicine bone-setting technique is a holistic care process to cure the balance of the skeleton, muscles, soft tissues, and joints. It was developed in China and based on a traditional of more than 2000 years, and it was recognized in China’s first national intangible cultural heritage list in 2006.

Dr. Luo’s bone-setting is a unique manipulation technique that goes beyond the traditional method and works effectively in areas around a bone/joint, such as the ligaments tendons and muscles. The technique minimizes the pain during treatment and focuses on "re-setting" the skeletal-muscular system to their correct positions through pulling, repositioning and aligning. For pains such as neck pain, back pain, sprains or other joint pains, Dr Luo’s technique does not require any invasive procedures, and it appears to be more effective than others in practice.

While many patients experience relief after just one session, most can expect a faster recovery than those with more invasive procedures or left untreated after at least three sessions. Additional treatments may be necessary for patients that have chronic or long-standing conditions, or have repeat injuries.

Relieving pain with acupuncture

The ancient art of acupuncture has been used in Asia for centuries to treat many conditions and relieve pain. It's now being used in the Canada, US and other Western countries to ease everything from low back pain, to nerve pain (such as painful shingles rashes), to headaches, fibromyalgia, and menstrual cramps — and more.

Traditional Chinese acupuncture involves the insertion of extremely fine needles into the skin at specific "acupoints." This may relieve pain by releasing endorphins, the body's natural pain-killing chemicals, and by affecting the part of the brain that governs serotonin, a brain chemical involved with mood.

In Chinese acupuncture, the acupuncturist may turn or twirl the needles slightly or apply heat or electrical stimulation to enhance the effects. He or she may also burn a therapeutic herb near the skin; this is called moxibustion.

Does acupuncture really work to quell pain? There are numerous studies show that acupuncture relieves pain, and suggest that the total effects of acupuncture, as experienced by patients in clinical practice, are clinically relevant.

Neck Pain

Neck pain is a common complaint. Neck muscles can be strained from poor posture - whether it's leaning over your computer or hunching over your workbench.

Shoulder Pain

Shoulder pain may arise from the shoulder joint itself or from any of the many surrounding muscles, ligaments or tendons. Shoulder pain that comes from the joint usually worsens with activities or movement of your arm or shoulder.

Back Pain

A common cause of back pain is injury to a muscle (strain) or ligament (sprain). Strains and sprains can occur for many reasons, including improper lifting, poor posture and lack of regular exercise.

Sports Injuries

Most sports injuries are due to either trauma or overuse of muscles or joints. The majority are caused by minor trauma involving muscles, ligaments, tendons, or bones.

What People Say On Google Review

"Dr. Zhang learned the Chinese method of bone setting in China and it is amazing what she can do to help you with any pain. She can make muscles go back where they haven't been for years. She uses her fingers to manipulate your muscles, which instantly removes any pain. It really is quite miraculous. Sometimes she also uses acupuncture. And at times she has also helped me with herbs. It is very affordably priced and you have nothing to lose and everything to gain." - JQ
